Nagorno Karabakh is a country in the shadow. A country in the oblivion.
International community does not recognize the status of independent nation, with the exception of a few governments from the caucasian region. The war with Azerbaijan supposed a hard blow on his progress and now, only two decades after the conflict and during the ceasefire, nothing is improving in the social conditions of the nation. Both, the capital Stepanakert and other minor cities or  rural environment base the economy on the subsistence and on the helps from Armenia. This is the story of its society and context. An island between Europe and Central Asia.
