In this old story  is reflected the stigma suffered by the “hansenites”, since  the beginning of times, those affected by one of the  most forgotten and hidden diseases by  human beings:  leprosy.
The origins are not very clare, it’ s probably in  India, where we can find the first authentic description  of  leprosy, where it  was named "Kushta" word that comes from "kushnati" that means “to be corroded” in Sanskrit. The settlings, invasions and migrations,  spreading, undoubtedly, the above mentioned disease all over the world.
